Ride: 03 Cadillac Escalade. It is an audio rig with three fi team v2 18s on 2 sundown salt 6ks. I run rogue audio for my front stage, under the hood are two ces 390amp alternators. Also including pics of a current build that's bot quite complete that is owned by Dillion Seagraves as well as a few other photos of work I have done, I build subwoofer enclosures, consoles as well as install audio.
Owner: Mike Corlett, Â I am the founder of Pressurized Cabins Audio Team. I started about 8 years ago
Story: When I first started out, a long time ago, the car audio game wasn't as big as it is now, especially in the area of Beaufort, SC, where I was raised. I was born in Valusa County, FL, and moved to Beaufort when I was really young.
When I was 13 years old, it was honestly my brother, Marc Corlett, who sparked the passion of car audio. When I heard that first bass sound, I was hooked. As soon as I got my first car, a car audio setup immediately went in it. It just grew and grew, and here I am today, working my passion.
Car audio was also an escape from the fact that I had total hearing loss in one ear and partial in the other due to a childhood illness. I was always shy because of it, and the car audio scene just seemed to bring me out of my shell.
I haven't always had the car audio business; I was a painter and home renovator. I'm really a jack of all trades, but somehow or another, car audio and I always find each other. I'm 44 now, and for the past four years, I have strictly worked with car audio.
I couldn't be what I am today, of course, if I hadn't had such a supportive, God-loving wife (Caitlin Corlett). She has given me the encouragement to grow and take the car audio scene head-on. We have definitely grown in all the best ways.
Owning a business isn't always easy, don't get me wrong, but the people I've met and things I've learned along the way make it all worthwhile. Building car audio enclosures and fabricating the inside of these vehicles allow me to put food on my table and be home with my family.
It allows me to teach my sons and daughter a trade and give them a legacy to continue on well after I'm gone. For a lot of people, it's a sport, but honestly, for pressurized cabins,
