THE STORY: I was born and raised in Charleston, SC. I grew up low class and in a bad neighborhood that saw not only my friends but also family members enter their adult life as felons. Down the street from where I lived in a large Sams parking lot a Custom Car Club hung out nightly and I was intrigued as a teenager that loved his Mustang. I built up the courage to go meet the Done 2 Profection Car Club and find out more. After I continued to come back to talk and learn from the creator Charlie Byrd as he baptized me in the knowledge of the custom car scene. At this point my friends are out doing drugs and other crimes however I was engaged with the car scene by attending car shows and focusing on working on my car to represent the club well and staying out of trouble. Because I stayed out of trouble up until I graduated high school I was able to join the Marine Corps to where I had a successful career including a combat tour with 1st Battalion 9th Marines (The Walking Dead) in Iraq in 2006 and eventually retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant in 2016. Without the car scene I would have fallen victim to the same fate as most of my friends and family did.

In 2021 I wanted to start getting involved back into the car scene and started showing my truck. I then started Malakai Prime Media and hosted Gunny’s Cars and Coffee in Beaufort for a year. I love competing and that’s an element I missed from the car scene when I was in the Marine Corps. Since jumping back in head first I began creating videos and Photos and obtaining media credentials at Car Events to different areas of the United States. It helps me have a purpose and stay focused on my goals and my build!
